About Me
The Butterfly Makeup Artist believes that beauty and creativity have no limits.
Hannah has studied and worked internationally, enjoying challenging herself professionally and creatively whenever possible. Always passionate about education, she has both her ITEC Certificate of Makeup from The International Makeup Academy in Dublin, Ireland, and her Diploma of Specialised Makeup from The Mask Academy in Sydney, Australia, and the Wig Technician qualification from The Wig Institute in Sydney, Australia. Since then Hannah has worked in Dublin, London, and Sydney in all aspects of the makeup industry. She is currently in Sydney, Australia.
From brides to beauty and fashion shoots to film sets to heading the makeup team backstage at the theatre, Hannah's greatest joy as The Butterfly MUA is seeing your excitement when everything comes together. As someone who delights in working with others, Hannah has worked with such makeup and hair brands as Benefit Cosmetics, Tigi, and Alfaparf Milano, and such international companies as Vital Skincare, The Lip Lab, and Black Swallow Swimwear.

A lifelong theatre lover, Hannah spends as much time backstage as she possibly can. She has also worked closely with Packemin Productions and Willoughby Theatre Company on various theatrical performances, most recently as Head of Wigs and Makeup for Willoughby Theatre Company's Priscilla: Queen of the Desert. She has also worked on the Wig Team for Murial's Wedding the Musical in its 2019 Sydney run, The Phantom of the Opera for Handa's Opera on Sydney Harbour in 2022, and An American in Paris in its 2022 Sydney run. She has been working for Opera Australia on the Wigs, Hair, and Makeup Team since 2020.

Her passion for education has also extended to others, with Hannah having hosted many group and one-on-one makeup classes to help women understand the ins and outs of the makeup they want to do for their face. She has also worked as the international trainer for The Lip Lab and taught stage makeup classes to high school students in Drama programs.
